Vimukthi Embuldeniya (born 1987) Photojournalist based in Sri Lanka.  After his graduation in Photography from the National Association of Photography in Sri Lanka. He realizes that is not enough to continue his work & he graduated with a diploma in photojournalism at the University of Colombo. His journalistic career started in 2009, working as a Freelance video journalist for local TV channels It’s one of Sri Lanka’s largest Channels (Swarnawahini & TV Derana), and his Photojournalist career started in 2013, working as a Photojournalist for a local newspaper It’s one of Sri Lanka’s largest newspapers (Janayugaya) and Former Photojournalist at Mawbima & Ceylon Today newspaper. Today, his focus is on news, reportage features, and sports pictures. In 2017 Vimukthi was awarded Third Place in the Sony World Photography National Awards, the Gold Award in the Adaraniya Sri Lanka Photo Competition held in Sri Lanka, One Merite award in State Photography of Sri Lanka in 2019. Now He has his own company “ARTICC” based in Colombo Sri Lanka and is the Director of Photography of CFA (Pvt) Ltd.
Other than photography and Videography skills Vimukhthi has Marketing Knowleg as PGdip Marketing degree holder.
